Biographies
Thomas Neal Falkenberry, CFA - President
Neal Falkenberry is the Founder and Chief Investment Strategist
for Autumn Wind Asset Management, Inc., a SEC-registered investment
advisory firm dedicated to providing equity and fixed income management
services to high net worth taxable clients. In addition, he is the general
partner of Autumn Wind Capital Partners, a private partnership dedicated
to aggressive derivatives trading. Prior to founding these two firms,
he served in the capacity of Senior Portfolio Manager from 1988-1999
for two large investment banks providing similar investment services.
Mr. Falkenberry acquired Tick Data in June of 1999 to serve as the data
platform for his firm's research and system development efforts. His
trading strategies are highly data-centric, employing both expert system
logic and neural networks, and require clean, accurate intraday time
series. He remains the largest single user of Tick Data products.
Mr. Falkenberry is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the
Washington Society of Financial Analysts. He received degrees in Finance
and Quantitative Methods from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Scott Mayster - Client Services and Marketing
Scott Mayster has managed Tick Data's client operations since February
1999. Originally hired for his extensive experience trading and working
with market data, Mr. Mayster brought to the job an understanding of
the needs of traders and analysts. Prior to Tick Data, he worked as
a floor clerk at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, a futures broker,
and a trading system analyst.
Mr. Mayster began trading while still a student at the University of
Wisconsin at Madison, where he received a BA in Economics. Early on
in his studies, he became enamored with the behaviors of market participants
and their effects on the financial markets and overall economy. In 1997,
he received a MS in Financial Markets and Trading from the Illinois
Institute of Technology.
Gary Martin - Market Information Systems
Gary Martin joined Tick Data in May of 2001 and oversees the collection,
archiving and processing of market data. Mr. Martin brings to Tick Data
over 12 years of data research and analysis experience, including five
years of work at the Hulbert Financial Digest, now a service of CBS
MarketWatch, where he had responsibility for analysis and performance
verification of over 170 financial advice newsletters and their portfolio
transactions.
Prior to entering the research field, Mr. Martin had 11 years of teaching
experience. He received his BS and MA in Education from the University
of New Mexico.
